My Safe School M-CDPS

The organization actively works to prevent and address cases of gun violence and bullying, through prevention, training and awareness programs aimed at students, parents, teachers and school staff. Additionally, it seeks to influence policies and practices related to mental health in public schools, highlighting the importance of providing adequate resources and support for the emotional and psychological health of students.

Objective

My Safe School M-CDPS is a non-profit organization founded on March 29, 2023, whose primary goal is to promote the safety and well-being of students in Miami Dade public schools.

Mission

Its mission focuses on maintaining a school environment free of gun violence and bullying in all its forms, and helping parents to access the social services offered by Miami Dade public schools through complete information.

  • Meetings with governmententities

    The primary objective of these meetings is to maintain constant communication with the Miami Dade School District to address the issues that concern the different public schools regarding safety and social services offered by
    the district through the health department. Also participate with both the mayor of the city of Doral and the Police in informative events. It is important to maintain constant communication with these entities for the well-being of the children

  • Meetings with school principals

    The Principals of Miami Dade public schools are the most important part of these institutions.
    Creating an open dialogue with them allows us to address cases of bullying immediately and find solutions so that children feel good. Taking the necessary measures in time can make a difference in each school.

  • Workshops for parents

    We organize workshops for parents regarding bullying prevention, resilience and empathy. The benefits of these workshops are understanding the problems that children face at school, developing effective strategies to support them
    and creating a safe environment in the school environment.
