At My Safe School, we believe in the power of communication as a tool for social transformation. One of the foundational pillars of our work as a nonprofit is the creation of awareness campaigns, produced directly by our team in collaboration with the community — and starring those who most deserve to be heard: our children.
Recently, one of our latest video messages surpassed 50,000 views in less than a week, generating an emotional and educational impact that has resonated with thousands of people in and beyond Miami-Dade. The video, published on our official Instagram account, is titled “When You Suffer from Bullying” and portrays, with honesty and sensitivity, the painful reality experienced by many students who are victims of bullying.

A Production Made By and For the Community
The script, written by our internal team, is based on real testimonies from students who have experienced bullying. The message — delivered by a child from our own community — takes viewers on an emotional journey that reveals the silent suffering many children endure behind a smile.
This type of production is made possible thanks to a unique model we have proudly adopted: involving children and families from the community as on-screen talent and active participants in our campaigns. This not only results in more authentic messages, but also creates opportunities for reflection and ownership within the community.
The Key Role of Creative Direction
Behind this powerful content is the vision of our Director of Media and Visual Content, Daniel Muñoz, who leads the creation of every audiovisual piece with strategic focus, sensitivity, and deep commitment. With more than 19 years of experience in the audiovisual field, Daniel has turned a painful reality into a message of hope and action.
Reflecting on this particular video, Daniel shared:
“What matters most with productions like this one isn’t how many times the video is played, but whether the message truly reaches people — whether they reflect, learn, and understand the seriousness of bullying. If this video helps even one child find hope, then we’ve done our job.”
Bullying Isn’t a Game — It’s a Tragedy
The central message of the video is clear: bullying is not just “kids being kids.” It’s a serious issue that can lead to devastating consequences if left unaddressed. In the words of the script:
“Bullying is not a game. It’s a disgrace. It’s a tragedy… It’s a crime.”
At My Safe School, we remain committed to raising our voices for those who are still afraid to speak up. We encourage the entire educational community — parents, teachers, and students — to share this video, talk about the issue, and report any form of harassment or bullying.
Together, we can build safer schools. Because there are more good people than bad.
